Every Vega Coffee delivery includes our small batch, single-origin freshly roasted coffee, which is enough for about 30 cups of brewed coffee. We also share information about the particular coffee in that delivery and the incredible farmers who have grown it.
All Vega Coffee is freshly roasted specialty grade, single-origin Arabica, grown between 1,200-1,800 meters above sea level. We only source coffee that is cultivated in a manner that respects the earth-shade-grown and without agrochemicals. We partner with small-scale farmers and cooperatives who traditionally have limited market access. As part of our commitment to gender inclusion, we source from female producers whenever possible and women-owned farmer cooperatives.
We diligently cup all of our coffees at the farm or cooperative, and then again repeatedly in our roastery. We spend countless hours tweaking our roast profiles in order to highlight each coffee’s unique flavor, from delicate floral hints to robust spicy notes.
Our roastery is located in Esteli, Nicaragua, in the heart of Nicaraguan coffee country. Since we’re near all the major coffee growing communities in Nicaragua, we have first access to their green coffees shortly after harvest, at the height of freshness. Our team of farmer-roasters hand-select and roast to order. Immediately after roasting, your coffee is packaged, signed and shipped, generally arriving to your door within 5 days of roasting, fresh and ready to enjoy!
Fresh batches of our coffee ship out every other week so that they arrive around the 1st and 15th of each month. Your first shipment may take up to 2 weeks to arrive if your order was placed shortly after our last shipment went out.

Why Vega is Different.
Most farmers sell their coffee as a commodity to middlemen who then sell it to roasters before it is sold again as a consumer-ready product. 90% of the profits in the coffee supply chain are in roasting, leaving farmers with the most at stake earning the smallest share. Vega is doing things differently. We work with small-scale farmers and give them the tools and training to roast and package their coffee, which allows them to earn up to four times more per pound.
Vega Coffee is grown, roasted, packaged and shipped from its point of origin.
